dentist who reads x-rays?
couple questions, im doing research on radiation and would like to ask a couple questions on radiation.
What is a basic job description?
How do you protect yourself from excessive radiation?
Is overexposure to X-rays a concern for the worker?
What is done for workers who are overexposed to radiation?
The Equipment—
What equipment is used?
What tests can be done with these instruments?
What risks are involved for the patient?
How are these risks minimized?
thanks for answering the questions, i really appreciate it

Any one who takes x-rays for medical purposes has to have a licence to do so. This includes e-ray technicians, dentists, and dental assistants.
The radiation received by the patient is measured in Rad’s, (Radioactive Absorbed Dosage).
Background radiation received by the staff is measured in Rem’s per year, (Roentgen Equivalent Mann). X-ray machines used in medicine are not allowed to put out more then 5 Rem’s per year. The machines are tested annually by licenced technicians.
