Boxer Breed Description
The head of the Boxer dog is what distinguish the breed the most. The AKC standard insists that the boxer’s head must be in perfect proportion to its body. It’s muzzle must be exactly the correct form and in proportion to its skull. The tip of the nose must be a bit higher than the root of the muzzle. They should also have an underbite. The ears and tails were originally docked and cropped, and this traditions continues in many counties including the US. However this practice has been banned in many European states due to political pressure from animal rights groups.
