Fil-Am Vets Rondalla

What instruments are typically in a high school band?

I would like a list of instruments that are played in a high school band. Also, orchestra. Is it just violin, viola, cello and bass? Thank you all!

Band – trumpet, clarinet, flute, saxophone, xylophone, french horn, trumbone, tuba…

Well techically orchestra plays almost every instrumet, but it really depends on the thing you a playing. Violin, Cello and Bass are the bases Haprhs, Flutes, Trumpets and many many different instruments …

As for a school band … mostly the basic instruments … Piano, Violin, Accordian, Flute, Trumpet … the basics …

Orchestra–strings only is orchestra, strings+ band instruments is a symphony orchestra.
Some typical band instruments are oboe, flute, clarinet, french horn, tuba, trombone, piccolo, timpany, piano, trumpet, snare drum, saxophone, tenor sax, alto sax, chimes, etc. The list goes on and on.
