Drums can be good, because it isn't that complicated. You can try violin or viola, but that may be a little too hard . My friend has 3 young daughters who play the piano and they love it! They are 7, 5, and 3. The younger they are the easier it is for them to learn and the more it benefits them in other areas, such as school. Sure they let them play w/ instruments but SERIOUSLY - not until 2nd gr. Don't just start her on an instrument, take her to an orchestra concert or a rock concert and ask her what looks like the coolest instrument.
