Dirty Dentist Office?
I went to a dentist, who was recommended by a couple of friends, yesterday and I am still traumatized. The dentist didn’t use gloves and asked me to hold the little film thing in my mouth with my fingers, so he can do an x-ray. I was so disgusted I am wondering if this guy actually used cleaned his instruments after he used them on the person before me!!! He probably did because it would have bad consequences for him but I’ll never go back to this place. Are dentist offices inspected by the health department???
In a few states I’ve worked in they are inspected by a board. Although there are some dentists that, when handling normal things may use their hands. Those xray films are sterile, kept in foil like packages to prevent double exposure. If he was just asking you to open up and he just looked in the mouth, there was no need to wear gloves, unless he actually touched an instrument or went into your mouth. Some people don’t like this and believe me a dentist does not take offense if you ask him to wear gloves at all times. They are required by law to sterilize all instruments, and the instruments are sealed while sterilizing to prevent contamination. The rooms are all wiped down with an anti-microbial and instruments are rotated every few weeks even if they haven’t been used, and are re-sterilized. If the doctors manner offends you, or if there was any problems, do call the board. It’s up to you, but without knowing the whole situation it is hard to tell. Dentists don’t usually wear gloves when in consult, (Just talking) to the patient. Only you can judge whether the situation was bad. YOU were there, and if he stuck his fingers in your mouth without gloves or touched instruments, then report it. It’s people like that who give Dentistry a bad name.

small dark spot appeared on tooth; did i really have a cavity?
hi everyone, i was eatting these pita chips that were pretty hard for about three days in a row and afterwards my teeth hurt. i looked in the mirror and noticed a small dark spot on one of my rear teeth that i had never noticed before. i went to the dentist and the assistant waved the diagnodent over the tooth and said it was a cavity. the dentist never checked the tooth with that pick instrument though and the x-ray didnt show anything. i have never had a cavity before but i trusted this new technology. the supposed cavity was removed with a laser drill and near the end of the procedure i had some pain as the laser was still drilling. afterwards, the tooth was filled with this composite material i was told to bite down and i could feel the filling lump. the dentist told me she was going to polish off the tooth and i said ok. i didnt know this meant i am going to take down all the tips off of this one tooth. ;/ now when i bite down, my teeth on the right side of my mouth are only making contact and i have to slightly shift my jaw so that the other operated side touches. i used to have tmj and my orthodontist corrected my bite and it went away. i’m afraid now that it might come back or some other problems might arise from this bad bite now. furthermore, its been a little over a month now and my tooth has an ache to it that is on and off since the surgery. i feel as though i have been wronged and i have not been able to sleep well since the surgery. was this really a cavity or should i consider legal counsel?
thanks for your time and responses ;/
i wanted to add that my teeth are in very good shape overall with no discolorations or sensitivities to hot, cold, or sweet foods. my mouth tends to create a lot of saliva as well. i also use listerine and act restoring mouth wash very very often throughout the day at least 5x a day.
thanks for the answers so far.
sorry if this was unclear, but the side of my mouth where the teeth are not making contact is the same side with the tooth that was operated on. this is why I am mostly upset, because to fix the bite, either i have to have the other side of good teeth shaved down to compensate or i have to go to the orthodontist again which will cost a lot!
high points on u r composite go to the same dentist n tell u r problem clearly as u told here sure he will correct u r bite

How are electro magnetic waves produced?
How are electro magnetic waves produced?
like radio waves, micro waves , x -rays
i mean i wanna know the instrument and it’s procedure
Thank you.
Every variable current and pulsating electric charge is the source of electro-magnetic radiation.
.
If the current is uniformly increasing, i.e. if the charges are under uniform acceleration, then there will be no E.M. radiation. Only when the acceleration is non-uniform, there will be E.M. radiation.
..
In oscillatory motion, acceleration is continuously changing. Hence eclectic charge oscillations produce E.M. radiation.
.
Radio waves are produced by the oscillating current in a coil of wire.
[In the electrical wires of houses, there is alternating current. As such, there is E.M. radiation with the frequency of A.C].
.
When a wire in a vacuum tube is heated to a high temperature, electrons come out of the wires. We can produce a beam of electrons. Velocity of electrons can be increased to a high value by a passing them in a high magnetic field. When these electrons are made to oscillate with high frequency micro waves are produced.
E.M. radiation occurs during random thermal motion of particles [thermal radiation]
.
If charges are abruptly decelerated, E.M. radiation occurs.
.
X-rays are produced when a beam of electrons are abruptly stopped by a target.

Technical Competent Required to join as a production Engineer in Medical and Surgical Equipment Manufacturer?
The company is into manfuacturing electro-diagnostic apparatus such as electrocardiographs, ultrasonic diagnostic equipment, scintillation scanners, nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus, dental drill engines, sterilizers, ophthalmic instruments, manufacture of syringes, needles used in medicine, mirrors, reflectors, endoscopes, manufacture of apparatus based on the use of X-rays or alpha, beta or gamma radiation, whether or not for use in human or animal medicine, X-ray tubes, high-tension generators, control panels, desks, screens, etc, manufacture of medical, surgical, dental or veterinary furniture, operating tables, hospital beds with mechanical fittings, dentists’ chairs, manufacture of mechano-therapy appliances, massage apparatus, psychological testing apparatus, ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, artificial respiration apparatus, gas masks, manufacture of corrective spectacle lenses and of their frames or of optical microscopes.
Required : Basic Qualification and field of Expern
Generally a single manufacturing facility cannot manufacture the entire range of biomedical products that is listed. Especially as many different types of manufacturing skills are needed. Probably a lot of components will be outsourced. Quite often, only the mechanical parts and integration will be done by the end manufacturer.
If the job involves design of the products, then a PG in Bio Medical Technology with specialization in electro medical instrumentation will help. If the technology is outsourced then any production engineer can handle routine fabrication.
If QC/QA of the electro medical products is the job, a degree in electronics or instrumentation may serve the purpose though a degree (or PG) as mentioned before will be more useful.

Production engineers, often also referred to as process engineers or manufacturing engineers cover a wide range of skills. Each company and each position might have skills specific to it. Always try to find out what the specific position might require.
In general, you’ll need to understand the production processes. What equipment and methods are used to produce the product. Again, this varies widely from automation (i.e. robotics) to manual assembly. Tools could be a simple screwdriver to a fully automated workstation. For the list of items you mentioned the number of possible processes is very large. Plan to learn quite a bit on the fly. Don’t expect to know everything. As a matter of fact you’ll likely specialize on a specifc product or range of processes.
Another thing, you’ll likely be required to provide is documentation. Good writing and computer skills are a must. You need to able to organize thoughts in a clear concise manner. Your "audience" might be an unskilled worker or a skilled tradesperson. Don’t speak in wordy terms, but don’t be condesending.
Production engineers will also generally be involved in time studies used to provide labor cost for the production processes used. Again, each company might have a slightly different philosophy or method, but in general you should know what a time study is.
Good people skills are a must. Personally, I’d rather take time to train someone on technical matters. Poor people skills, however, seem to originate from deep within a person’s basic personality. As such it’s harder to change, and often the reason I select one candidate over another.
Being good with your hands certainly doesnt’ hurt. A previous employer required production engineers to be able to operate all new equipment or modified processes prior to full-up production. Again, a willingness and capability to learn nearly as good as actual experience.
Finally, the best production engineers should always strive to do things better. You’ll want to reduce process variation while decreasing produciton costs and improving quality. This is MUCH easier said than done.
The company you mentioned appears to be involved in electronics, assembly, and fabrication processes. They likely use a wide range of materials too. Being able to demonstrate some skills, experience or knowledge that will provide a foundation to learn their company will be a big help. NEVER try to fake it that you know more than you do. If I were performing the interview and didn’t trust the response, I certainly wouldn’t expect to trust you as a potential employee. Be candid, but focus on the positive.

Why should I wait to remove my wisdom teeth?
Over the last year or so, my wisdom teeth have been coming in. My last dental x-ray (about two months ago) showed that the fourth one (lower left) isn’t fully formed yet, and my dentist wants to wait for it to come in before removing the other three. I had the second molar on that side extracted shortly after the x-rays, so that wisdom tooth is needed to fill in that spot.
Is it necessary to wait for the final wisdom tooth, since it is developing normally and has a minimal chance of causing problems? The other three are becoming increasingly more painful. If I don’t get them removed by the end of July, I won’t have another opportunity until Christmas break – I play wind instruments, and cannot afford to take the time off to have them removed during the semester.
Maybe I wasn’t clear – only three of them will ever get pulled.
More clarification – the three that will be pulled are beyond the normal threshold of "teething" pain. They are, unlike the fourth, NOT developing normally and ARE causing problems. So WHY should I have to wait to get them removed? It doesn’t make sense.
unless the 4th one is comming up anytime soon id say just pluck the other 3 thats bothering you.
