What are some instruments that I should use for my forty day project?
I have this project for world history honors in which we have to provide forty examples for a topic we choose. We have to do this for four marking periods, so please help. Please don’t give an instrument like ‘guitar’, or ‘trumpet’. It needs to be something specific like ‘resonator guitar’, because a lot of instruments have unknown origins or too broad of an origin. Thanks, in advance.
This site looks interesting, it’s about antique instruments:

What instruments did the Irish use for traditional folk music?
And if you have pictures I’d love you forever. This is for a school project. I already have pictures of pop culture music from Ireland (Flogging Molly, The Script), now I just need folk music from Ireland. Since I’m looking for stuff that was so long ago, there’s not many pictures. So I decided to just get pictures of the instruments they used in order to create the music. But, I don’t know all the instruments that they used to play, and that’s where you come in.
Thanks.
Piper !

How hard is learning guitar compared to other instruments?
I tried to teach myself guitar once before without much luck… I wasn’t terribly dedicated though. I learned to play piano on my own quickly and easily, and I can already play sax and flute very well (albeit, I took band for years to lean to really master both of those). If I really buckled down and forced myself to practice, should I be able to play in a relatively short period of time (a year or so)? Is guitar one of the harder instruments for most people to learn?
You already got a leg up on almost everyone else out there, you already know how to play some instruments. A string instrument is out there a little bit, when comparing to woodwinds, but you know how music works and you can do it the right way. Don’t listen to people that say "yeah, I learned from online and blah, blah, blah" They think that they are good, but don’t really know what they are doing musically. Knowing piano helps you out enormously, and you should have no time learing the music on the guitar, just take time getting the feel of a stringed instrument.

How do i separate a songs vocals from its instruments using Acid Pro?
I’m using Acid Pro 7, just so you know. No add-ons or anything like that. What I’m trying to accomplish is separating the vocals of a song from the instruments. I’m making a remix of a song, and want to use the vocals from one song, and add it onto the other song. I’ve heard some techniques where you can remove the vocals completely, but i want to KEEP the vocals but not the instruments. Any way i can do this? TIA.
As you said there is a way to remove vocals but there is no way to separate them or for that matter the individual instruments.
It’s only possible with the original multi-track studio recording.
It’s a bit like mixing the ingredients and baking a cake.
Once the individual tracks have been mixed down to a stereo file they can’t be un-mixed.

What is the difference between the musical instruments of olden times and present times?
I need the difference between piano, guitar, drum, and other musical instruments of olden times and the present times!
IF POSSIBLE please give me the URLs also!!
VERY URGENT!!
depends how old you wanna go..
Guitars used to be some type of animal hair pulled round a stick, drums used to be sticks banged against hollow logs.
Pacific islanders still use traditional drums.
They make amazing sounds too.
Sorry, no links.

What instruments or sound is used to make good gangsta rap beats?
Hello everyone,
I am new at making beats and I still don’t know much about that thing. But I am soon gonna figure that out and eventually get used. But can anyone tell me what kind of instruments should I use to make good gangsta rap beats in FL studio please?
Thank you
Most of the pros in the music business use a midi sequencer. It doesn’t take too long to learn.
There are low end amateur programs out there such as Fruity loops, but I recommend using protools or sonar like the pros. These days, it’s all within your reach. Get some good studio monitors if you can.
