What instrument that is easier to learn than others?
I know that it’s not easy to learn how to play an instrument, but can you please name some that would be easier than others?
I want a string instrument– other than the guitar. I was thinking it would be fun to learn a violin, but I’m not sure how hard it will be. I know that harps are probably one of the most difficult to learn, so please don’t say a harp. Plus they are extremely expensive- something a little cheaper would be nice.
And yes, I’m up for a challenge.
Thanks for your answers!
I play violin and I love it. Yes people say it is easy. It’s very complex. Lots of things to learn and what not. I’m 13 and have been playing since I was four. I’m nowhere even close to an amazing violinist. Good that your up for a challenge because this is a challenge. My violin teacher says that it is one of the hardest instruments to play because of all the techniques that you have to learn. I would say go for it though. I love it. It will take time, patience, and practice. I would go for it. Good thing about violin is that you don’t have to buy you can always rent. And you don’t need an amazing violin since you are just starting out. Good Luck and I hope you learn how to play!!!! You’ll love it once you get started!!!!

How to protect my instrument reed?
I lost the plastic-protecting like thing for my instrument that my reed come in. How can i protect it? Do not suggest a reed case
PS.I play tenor saxophone.
A piece of card board. I played the alto in highschool and many of the reeds I bought were placed in a cardboard cutout that held it in place. You might also want to ask your teacher, for I am sure they could scrounge around and find some.

What instrument do you wish you knew how to play well?
I think it would be epic to play the harmonica well. I only know some songs and I always have to take a breath. It’s so amazing how you can basically just improvise with instruments, I’d like to bank on a certain instrument and just jam on cue.
Guitar, as you can sing as well when you play it.

What instrument is a mix between a violin and mini gramophone?
There’s 2 Romanian buskers in Belfast and their instrument always intrigues me. It is a stringed violin they play with a bow, however there’s a mini gramophone attached. It’s not a DIY instrument either. He couldn’t speak English so I didn’t really get the name. He (Possibly) said it was a Hungari.
Possibly this is a mechanically amplified instrument that was designed prior to electrical amplification.
In a similar way tp the National and Dobro instruments, a resonating cone was built into the instrument in order to increase the volume of the instrument so that street musicians (and others) could get their music noticed above the background noise of the towns and cities.
Several of the early instruments had a gramophone type horn in order to further project the sound.

What instrument would be the best for a fourteen year old girl to play?
I’ve had this nagging voice in the back of my head for nearly a year now, persuading me to start up a musical instrument.
I played piano for about a year when I was eight. I have incrediably small hands. Tiny. Their about 5 inches long and 3 inches from my thumb to the end of my pinky. Which instrument would be the best for me to learn to play?
I think oyu should get good at the piano, it’s so useful and after you learn it well it’s pretty easy to pick up another insturment quickley.

What is the best instrument to play to get a scholarship for any college?
I play trumpet right now and am going into 9th grade. I used to play piano and my mom and dad say I can only take lessons for one instrument. So I quit piano and have decided to take trumpet lessons. Was that a wise move for a college scholarship? Also, what would be the easiest instrument to get a scholarship for. Besides something really REALLY BIG like the tube. I would think an unpopular instrument would be something I would want to look into to improve my chances of getting a scholarship to a college.
A lot of schools will pay you to join their bands. Especially if you join their marching band. You can get free scholarship info here:

What is the name of the stringed instrument that Cindy Lauper played when singing on Australian Idol?
Cindy Lauper sang Time After Time on Australian Idol on 22nd September, 2008. She played a strange instrument that looked like an electric guitar, but just the fret section of the instrument. What is it called?
Mountain dulcimer.
