an instrument would be used to fix the equipment

ok say like your teeth are equipment
and this equipment bites and tears and chews
then you have the instrument and the instrument is like your toothbrush

In teaching history, how many of you would use a living history museum as a teaching instrument?

Do you think it will help students absorb the material being taught better?

History is a ‘living’ subject.
Whenever I get the chance to take the kids somewhere, such as a ‘living history museum’ I take them.
Yes, in my years of teaching I have found that going to the museum has greatly helped the absorption of history material.
Once they see, touch, hear what the museum has to offer then they start thinking in broader terms and history comes alive.
If you have the opportunity then by all means go for it.
We teachers can always use the help to teach and make something interesting. :-)

what would be the best way to learn how to play an instrument (flute) without taking lessons with a teacher?

i have a couple old instruments from my family, including an old flute and a 30 year old coronet. id love to learn to play them, but i dont have the time or the money for a teacher. would learning with a book and maybe occasional advice from friends who play help? i can already read music and i also play the clarinet, mallets, some percussion instruments, and the keyboard.

It’ll take a longer time to learn by yourself but you can get a beginner book from a music store.
One of the best is
The Art of Playing the Flute (Vol I to III) by Roger
Mather
You can find them at fluteworld.com
There are also lessons online that might teach you the rhymns of each note so you get used to counting out properly
It is probably best if you get a teacher but it isn’t impossible if you don’t. Good luck!

couple questions, im doing research on radiation and would like to ask a couple questions on radiation.

What is a basic job description?

How do you protect yourself from excessive radiation?

Is overexposure to X-rays a concern for the worker?

What is done for workers who are overexposed to radiation?

The Equipment—

What equipment is used?

What tests can be done with these instruments?

What risks are involved for the patient?

How are these risks minimized?

thanks for answering the questions, i really appreciate it

What instrument should I concentrate on?

I know how to play the guitar, violin, and piano. i can play each instrument equally well, but i feel like i can improve on one instrument if i put more time in it. what should i concentrate on? suggestions?
i love each instrument. but i feel that i can’t improve unless i concentrate on one. im not gonna quit any of them, but i would focus more on one. i just can’t figure out what it is. it would help if you could tell me the good points of each instrument. thanks!

Okay nobody can help you hear, but maybe you are looking for opinions.

My opinion is this.

Piano is the base for all instruments and all types of music, but that doesn’t mean it is the best.

A guitar you can carry anywhere with you, and is a very important instrument in many styles of music. Maybe upgrade to electric and go insane with solos..

A violin is used for many styles of music too. Yellowcard uses the violin in their songs.

If it was me I would continue with the guitar because the music I listen to uses alot of guitar and the sound of guitar strings gets my attention. but good luck and this is YOUR choice and it really depends on what your goals are.

What is an a better instrument to play between a Guitar and Bass Guitar?

Im trying to learn how to play either one of these instruments! Personally I think Bass guitar is better because for some reason it makes a good sound to my ears:P
But I want other peoples opinion which one should I play?
Which ones better to you and why?
Which ever one gets the most Ill learn how to play that instrument!

i’m guaranteeing you are going to get a lot of answers on guitar, so please don’t base it off that. This is my opinion, i’ve been playing bass for 7 years and guitar for 2. I started on bass because I liked the sound more, they are easy to switch between, but the main reason I say play bass is because you are going to be more inclined to play something that you like listening to. If you play bass and you like the sound you aren’t going to want to put it down, which means you’ll get better. Same goes for when you are buying an instrument, if you don’t like the sound you won’t want to play it. Good luck.

What is the diffrence between Instrument and Equipment?

An instrument is a device which is used to access some information or test results of some kind of survey test or research etc.
An equipment is a device which is used for some specific purpose of work. It is used as a device which provide aid to get some targeted purpose of work.
For example Theodolite is an ‘instrument’ which is used for civil engineering surveys, where as Para-suit is an ‘equipment’ which is used specifically for climbing down from higher altitudes like helicopter etc.
